Overview
This program trains developers who can build a web or mobile web application end to end: design the interfaces, integrate them in a responsive and accessible way, make them dynamic, then build the server side with a database, an API and a modern framework. The course alternates short theory sessions with constant hands-on practice, through concrete workshops and a capstone project presented at the end. It is based on the Web and Mobile Web Developer professional title framework and can be delivered on site, remotely or in a blended format, full-time or as a work-study program.

Detailed curriculum
11 modules · 455 h · 65 days
Web fundamentals and working environment
- Client/server architecture and the HTTP protocol
- How a browser works and developer tools
- Installing and configuring the developer workstation (editor, terminal, local server)
- Structure of a web project and naming best practices
- Technology watch and reading documentation
Each participant sets up a complete environment and checks that it works with a first project.
Algorithms, programming and version control
- Variables, data types, conditions and loops
- Functions, arrays and data structures
- Breaking down a problem and writing an algorithm
- Debugging and reading error messages
- Git: repository, commits, branches, merging and conflict resolution
- Collaborative work with GitHub
About ten progressive exercises, corrected together, to anchor programming logic.
UX/UI design and accessibility
- Analyzing a need and defining user journeys
- Ergonomics, visual hierarchy and readability
- Wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes
- Design system: colors, typography, components
- Mobile-first approach and responsive layouts
- Digital accessibility (RGAA, WCAG) and eco-design
From a specification, produce the desktop and mobile mockup with a mini design system.
Responsive HTML5 and CSS3 integration
- Semantic HTML5 structure and forms
- Selectors, box model and positioning
- Flexbox and CSS Grid
- Responsive design, media queries and relative units
- Transitions, animations and CSS variables
- Bootstrap and Sass to speed up integration
- Image optimization and performance
Pixel-perfect integration of the previous module's mockup, tested on several screen sizes.
JavaScript and dynamic interfaces
- Modern syntax (ES6+), scope, arrow functions and modules
- DOM manipulation and event handling
- Asynchronous code: promises, async/await, Fetch
- Consuming a REST API and handling JSON
- Client-side form validation
- Object-oriented programming in JavaScript
- Introduction to a front-end framework (components, state, props)
- Debugging and testing in the browser
A dynamic interface that queries a public API and handles errors and loading states.
Add, edit, filter and delete tasks, with persistence in the browser.
Relational databases and data modeling
- Analyzing a need and modeling with Merise (conceptual and logical models) and UML
- Creating a MySQL database: tables, types, keys and constraints
- SQL queries: selection, joins, aggregates, subqueries
- Views, indexes, transactions and stored procedures
- Normalization and data integrity
- Backup, restore and permission management
From needs analysis to the creation script and query statements.
PHP and object-oriented programming
- PHP syntax, forms, sessions and cookies
- Data access with PDO and prepared statements
- Object-oriented programming: classes, inheritance, interfaces, namespaces
- MVC architecture and separation of concerns
- Authentication, role management and password hashing
- Security: SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, input validation
- Error handling and logging
An article management back office with authentication, permissions and secured forms.
Symfony framework
- Installation, project structure and command line
- Routes, controllers and dependency injection
- Twig templates: inheritance, blocks and components
- Doctrine ORM: entities, relations, migrations and fixtures
- Forms, validation and file handling
- Security: authentication, authorization and route protection
- Sending emails and session management
- Administration back office
A complete application: categories, events, registrations, user accounts and an administration area.
NoSQL, REST API and application security
- Principles of NoSQL databases and MongoDB use cases
- CRUD operations, queries and aggregations
- Designing a REST API: resources, HTTP verbs, response codes
- JSON format, versioning and API documentation
- Token-based authentication
- API testing with Postman
Design, develop, document and test an API consumed by a front-end interface.
Deployment, testing and documentation
- Development, test and production environments
- Unit and functional tests
- Hosting, domain name, HTTPS and environment variables
- Deploying a PHP/Symfony application and its database
- Writing the technical documentation and the deployment guide
- Agile method: roles, ceremonies and tracking tools
Put the project application into production, with documentation of the process.
Capstone project and certification preparation
- Scoping the project and choosing features
- Guided independent work with regular checkpoints
- Writing the project report
- Preparing the oral presentation and the technical interview
- Code review and individual feedback
